saviour n 1: to Christians he was both God and man--the Messiah sent to save the human race from the sin it inherited through the Fall of Man [syn: Jesus, Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus Christ, Christ, Savior, Saviour, Good Shepherd, Redeemer] 2: a person who rescues you from harm or danger [syn: savior, rescuer, deliverer]

saviour - one who saves from any form or degree of evil. In its highest sense the word indicates the relation sustained by our Lord to his redeemed ones, he is their Saviour. The great message of the gospel is about salvation and the Saviour. It is the "gospel of salvation." Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ secures to the sinner a personal interest in the work of redemption. Salvation is redemption made effectual to the individual by the power of the Holy Spirit.

A Testimony of Salvation

Romans 10:9-10 tells us "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Today is the day of salvation. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, please take the time to do so now. Admit that you are a sinner. We all are born into sin.
1st John 1:9-10 tells us "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives."

Open your heart and let Jesus in. Tell Him to come into your heart.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast."
