Thank You, Heavenly Father, for Your word which tells us how to live our earthly life in order to live eternally with You. We have a hope of glory through the obedience of Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered temptation, humiliation and pain for us, who God loved before we were even born. Jesus went to the cross and gave up his life for us, who were given to Him by God. All we have to do is to decide to allow Christ to come into our hearts and lead us in obedience to the Father God.

Praise the Lord, from whom all blessings flow. So much has happened. October 6th, Rodney, my brother-in-law, went to be with the Lord. His homegoing was October 17th. Doris, my sister-in-law, went to be with the Lord Wednesday October 22nd and her homegoing service was October 29th.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for preparing a home for those of us who accept Your Son, Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Savior. Help us to live a life worthy of Your love.

Thank you for your love, grace and mercy. Thank you for being the all wise God. Thank you for all of the blessings you have bestowed upon me in the past, the present and even into the future. Thank you for keeping me each and every day.

Thank you for all that you are doing in my family. I pray, in Jesus’ name, that all that will be accomplished for Joyce for her benefit. I also pray that my sister, Crystal, will put her trust in you and that you will make a way for her and Kayla. I pray for Lewis Johnson. You know his situation. I pray that he will open his heart to you.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What would the world be like without Jesus? What if there were no God?

We would be in big trouble. We would not have a hope. We would not have a Savior, we would not have a Father who loves us unconditionally. Wouldn't that be a sad situation!

Let us learn to appreciate God, our heavenly Father. We should thank Him each and every day for all that He has done and continues to do for us. He works miracles all the time. If you don't believe in miracles - how were you born? Did you come from a stork (as an old story goes)? Did you grow from the ground? How were you so marvelously put together?

Who put in just the right ingredients to create a human being? We don't look like and act like a dog or a cat or any other animal. Here's the answer.

Job 38 tells us what the LORD answered to a questioning soul. Psalm 8 and Psalm 19 tell us something wondrous.

God is so good! It is hard to understand how someone's heart can be hardened towards Him when He offers so much to us. But then, all we, (who have accepted the great gift that He offers to all), have to do is think back to the days before we, ourselves accepted that gift.

We were lost, deep in sin. We did not know Him and, some of us did not want to know Him at all. Our hearts were hardened, we thought we could do everything in our own strength and we wanted to do everything that we thought we were big and bold enough to do. Do you remember those days?

Praise the Lord!!! We are not what we used to be. If, perhaps, you are still in that mode, you need to make a change of attitude (and of heart). God can make a new creation out of you!

As we begin to enter the month we celebrate Black History, let us remember all who have given their lives for the justice of others, those who were condemned for not being the 'right color', or the 'right race', or for not thinking as others thought they should. Remember that Jesus was ostracized (excluded from a group by common consent) for who he was. Who was he?

Ostacize - to avoid (someone) intentionally or to prevent them from taking part in the activities of a group because you dislike them or disapprove of something they have done

Some did not like the fact that Christ and his disciples ate on the Sabbath or the fact that He worked miracles on the Sabbath.
We must be careful not to judge others. If you are a Christian (a follower of Jesus Christ, the Saviour), you must have love for others.

Praise the Lord for seeing us into another year! There are new blessings to be had and new ways to be a blessing to others.
Now, you have time to forgive and forget; to do those thoughtful things that you didn't get done last year; to learn more biblical principles (yes, there are more); to go to the grocery store for that sister or brother who can't get out (for whatever reason); to help your neighbors with their chores; to pray for your family, friends and enemies.
